Monday October 15th
Homecoming Kickoff
Maucker Union Roof at 5:30 pm (Rain Site Maucker Union)
Come and show your Panther Pride by celebrating the beginning of
Homecoming week! Some of the festivities include Pride Cry, performances
from the Dance Team and live music from the Panther Marching Band. The
kick off will take place at 5:30pm on top of the Maucker Union Roof.
Shot of Reality
Maucker Union Ballroom at 7:30pm
Shot of Reality will take place at 7:30pm in the Maucker Union Ballroom. Shot of Reality is an entertaining and fun event that addresses the topic of alcohol awareness.
Tuesday October 16th
Volunteer Tuesday: Campus Cleanup
Student Involvement Center at 2 & 5pm
Volunteers and homecoming competition teams will be participating in a campus wide cleanup in two shifts, 2pm and 5pm. For more information please contact the Student Involvement Center at 273-2683 for more information
Homecoming Royalty Talent Competition
Maucker Union Ballroom at 7:30pm
The Royalty Showcase is where the Homecoming Court will show us their
stuff and compete for the titles of King and Queen. Come and support
your fellow Panthers! Capes and Crowns will be designed and displayed at
the event by the Textile and Apparel (TAPs) student organization. The
talent competition will take place at 7:30pm in the Maucker Union Ballroom.
Wednesday October 17th
Homecoming Picnic
Campanile Plaza 11am-1pm
Come enjoy free food, music, and giveaways from 11am-1pm at the Campanile Plaza. This event is brought to you be CAB and The Northern Iowa Student Government (NISG).
Laser Tag & Decade Dance
Maucker Union at 7pm
Laser tag will be in the ballroom and come and compete in teams with
your friends. If you find that the line is too long, then go to the
Decade dance to get warmed up. Head over to Maucker Union at 7pm.
Thursday October 18th
Traditions Challenge
Alumni House- Check in at 5, event starts at 5:30
Be
ready for some fun! Teams of five will compete in an amazing race
challenge across campus and will receive picture clues that point them
in the right direction of where to go. When teams make it to the
correct destination, they will take a group picture to complete a
challenge in the Traditions Challenge book. Teams should also be
prepared to compete in incorporated activities that test their Panther
knowledge and pride! Register for the Traditions Challenge Amazing Race online.
Homecoming Comedian: Jessi Campbell
Maucker Union at 7:30pm
Head on over to Maucker Union at 7:30pm to see the hilarious comedian Jessi Campbell. Come and bring your friends and gain a belly full of laughs!
Friday October 19th
Volleyball Game
McLeod Center at 7pm
Come cheer on the UNI Panthers at McLeod at 7pm as they take on Indiana State!
Pep Rally
South lawn of McLeod Center immediately following the Volleyball Game (Rainsite is McLeod)
Following the volleyball game there will be a Pep Rally in the south lawn of McLeod.
There, the finalists of Pride Cry will compete for first, second and
third prize and there will be entertainment brought to you by the
twirler, live music and so much more. Come bring your fellow Panthers to
get pumped up for the game on Saturday!
Campaniling
Midnight at the Campanile Plaza
Saturday October 20th
Homecoming Festival
Alumni House Lawn from 11am-1pm (Rain site is Maucker Union)
Head on over to the Alumni House from 11am-1pm and
check out the Homecoming Festival. Check out all of the student
organization booths, as well as meet some of the players at the Panther
Zone and get some autographs. Bring your friends and listen to music
from the Panther Marching Band and see performances from the Dance team.
Safe Date Talegate
SW Corner of the Wellness and Recreation Center North lot from 12pm - 4pm
Come on over and enjoy refreshments, prizes, games and free giveaways! This event is being hosted by the WRC.
Football Game
UNI Dome at 4pm
Come cheer on the UNI Panthers as they take on South Dakota State at 4pm in the Dome.
